right as some may know ive lowered the green nova 100mm, one issue i have now is it popped both of the standard shocks on the way home.

ive got some shortened body rear shocks but with them the car just sits on the axel (dont think it has bump stops)

im guessing this is no good for the car, any ideas how to fix it?

Regards Jimbo

WTF were you thinking lowering 100mm on standard shocks??
anyway... your car shouldnt sit any lower or higher with shocks fitted this will be the springs job. however a shorter bodied shock will not bottom out as long as it IS capable of lowering 100mm

Jimbo, if it's sitting on the axle, have you actually got rear springs in Lol? Yeah if it's 100mm i'd DEFFO be uprating the shocks, something like avo short bodied ones.

well the shock has travel but it must be catching somewhere else as there isnt any play in the back at all

i had some time spare at trax after buying my springs so i thought i would fit them

How many coils are there in the spring? Are they custom made springs? if the coils are touching one another when it's on the deck it'll feel like they've been replaced with bricks.

theres about 3 maybe 4 coils and there not touching. they was under half the size of the standard spring.

they where a custom spring also

Have the same springs on mine and the exhaust sat on the beam until i fixed it with polybushes, think I may have mentioned that to you at trax? Someone asked me about it anyway. Check for problems around there... and they do feel rather solid, especially compared to standard, car should rock slightly if you push it hard enough though?

and get it tracked up as well, that sort of drop will wreck your tyres.

That's a point, mine was stupidly toed out when I dropped it on the coilovers, how did you even drive that home?! They struggled to get mine on the ramps to track it because it was so far out.
