you could say that, but i am not joking about the conversion. i am starting a degree to be engineer of the motor sport variety. i'm thinking bike engine of marine out board converted with a rear gearbox to help spread load. just thought i'd sound of and see if anyone has any advise or suggestions as this will be a goer in time.

lollollollol what's with the trolls in the past two days? lollollollol

If you really want a good engine that weighs next to nothing and will be quite fast then stick a K11 Micra 998cc engine with 1.3 super S cams in, insurance will be cheap as well if you don't declare them super duper cams, halfords own brand back box and 18" alloys with nankangs should see you hitting 120 mph in sub 60 miles.

funk that, keep the redtop in, to save weight remove dash, polycarbonate windows, cut out the inner skin of the bonnet, remove all seats excluding the drivers, remove the headlining, fibreglass tailgate, remove all sound deadening(sp), cut out the brackets for the rear seats, cut out the spare wheel well, to be honest mate the list is endless but what ever you do dont listen to the tool who said dump the redtop
