try getting the trackin set properly first then look at camber. how low the car is and then look at equal length shafts. although i havent had probloems with a XE torque steering.

its pretty low but not over the top. i know ive got oversized shafts and motorsport hubs. i need to look into getting tracking sorted. i nearly killed myself and a double decker the first time in nailed it lol. any good tyre suggestions also. i got average tyre but still have all there tread on so am holding back on new ones.

Took me a while to get mine sorted, I tried a few kits and settled on Gaz coilovers, still a bit of torque steer going on but then with the tracking done it's nearly gone. Next is polly bushes just to tighten the front up. Is the front stitched or plated?

Mines has really improved after the tracking though.

i'm pretty sure its not strengthened but cant be bothered to take this one to bits.... the next one will be better!

i had mine on the road on friday night for the first time. torgue steer was an issue. im using koni adj front shocks/cossie front spings full polybushes and hh plating kit oh and antiroll bar. my tracking has never been setup so i think that has a lot to do with it try that first

Also look at your bushes if you haven't changed them. Mine was undriveable when I first put it on the road. New bushes and getting the tracking set totally got rid of any torque steer.

I dont really get many issues with torque steer in mine, so id say its down to suspension setup/bushes etc...

1.2 springs will take the weight tho..

Most surpriced that they fit tbh.

so was i escort ones iirc. dunno how 1.2 ones would take the weight i had konis on it and when i let the jack down the top mount touched the bumpstops on the shock

They don't take the weight of the xe?

Will be worn bushes/ tracking out an xe hasnt got enough power to give you trouble with torque steer

i had avo shocks, and coilsprings 350lb springs, poly bushes and strengthened bottomarms. mine still torque steered like a **** and it was on 17's. oh and it had ran a 200bhp xe for 10 years before i got it, without being stich welded. the reason they pull apart is cos muppets in the 90's fitted xe's to rotten sr's and gte's and the weight and power did stress it and pull em apart.. but in a good solid shell its not nessecary.

driving it appropriately can also reduce its effects ;)
