noob question quick answer needed please

Im a noob with engines so dont laugh if its a daft question lol.

My engine is a 1.2 block with a 1.3 camshaft thats what the guy i bought it off says anyway.

well when i took the engine to bits it didnt have a gasket under the camshaft :confused:

well ive found a set on ebay that i want to buy but its for a 1.3 engine, will it fit mine :confused:

Do u mean there isnt a gasket on it between the cam box and head?

Yes and my dad keeps moaning at me saying that its dodgy etc.. my car is sh!t etc...

is there even one supposed to be on there ?

Nope, shouldnt be one there, some people put sealent on there, but personaly i dont.

nah. no gasket at that "level", one above and below thought. below being head gasket. above rocker gasket

i used a nice neat bead of instant gasket mine, peels off easy aswell so excess can be neatened up. just make sure you apply it towards outside of the head, so excess comes to the outside not inside
