Hi, my brothers girlfriends brother is evicting us from the (large) shed we've been using for free for the last year, and i was wondering what the going rate is for renting a lock-up. Only really need space for a nova, but we've also got a big trailer, about twenty wheels , and a load of other crap that is gonna need a home too in the near future. What are you lot paying for storage and what do you get for your money? Luckily enough though theres units for rent about half a mile from my house which would be good. Gotta give him a phone tomorrow, just don't know what to expect?

I'd be too scared of having my car/project & tools stolen.

was guessing about twenty a week mate, how much room does he get for that. The one we were using had enough room for about 10 novas. also had a toilet and free electric. Fluckin farmers and thier ''wheat needing stored over the winter'' bollix. lol

I pay £5 a month for my 1 car space in a barn. Mate pays around £30 a month for a nice size barn, problery fit 15 cars in and still have space for loads of things.

That has serious restrictions though, including incessant moaning about mess and a large argument any time you mention a 2nd car lol

Me and my mate rent out an old bodyshop which has enough room for about 4/5 cars and space to work and keep stuff

That's £15 a month :thumb:

Christ they are cheap! My mate gets a 2000 sq. ft. unit for £160 p/m but that's in the ghetto!

I used to go halfs on a lockup not much bigger that a double garage which was £80 p/m. Free electricity FTW though.

yeah same story, only reason i aint got a unit is due to the cost of the buggers.

Plus its having to pay other things like the council tax, bills etc ontop of it.

How the hell are you finding these so cheap??

Im dying for a lockup to store my car/parts but cant find anything, internet and google come up useless!

3 of my mates just got a lockup, good for 4 cars with space to work on them, light and electric for £500 a month, plus council tax!

I'd be happy with a double garage with electric. Only things i find are with no electrics and single garages on council blocks.

Ohh hes always moaning at me heres a couple quotes from the other day :
The car is lowered abou 100mm on coilovers.

"you cant have the car that low man, its gonna rip the sump and manifold off when you go over speedbumps"

"This car is looking worse and worse day by day"

lol

gotta put up with it though if i want somewhere to keep the car lol

Where the fook are you lot finding these?!?!? The one we had was major secure and had 24 cameras from the front door to the back but the unit was dark and damp etc etc that was 280pm between 2 of us! Then we had another but i wouldnt leave any tools there and that was £60 a week!
Units a scarce as fook round here! :(
