Does anybody know how much a difference a corsa gsi or 1.6 sport engine would make when replacing a nova gsi engine? im guessing theyd be much smoother but are they any quicker? What work is involved? couldnt find anything in the articles section..

from what i understand mate its a preety easy conversion if its a gsi should bolt straight in use the nova shafts etc just the wiring shouldnt be to hard though as long as you have the chip,transponder and all that stuff to get round the immobliser check out

There a preety easy conversion, and very easy to tune and see 150bhp.

As standard C16XE's are 106 bhp iirc, so already slighty up on a nova gsi engine iirc.

A C16 wont have all the imobliser stuff to worry about, but X16XE's can be bought cheaper and theres no need to change the bottom half of the inlet when fitting a powerbox.

I do like the idea of tuning a 1.6 tp mabye push 150bhp as said..

Totally different animal to the 8v when a powerbox is fitted.

It would cost a fair whack to get an 8v running like that.
