rysee go re-read my comment. any car that is past economical and cost effective repair is better off as parts. you obv have no grasp of economies or profit and expenditure, nor do you actually know my work background, so save your sarky bullsh!t for someone who gives a crap.

no if you actually knew me you'd get the joke. you dont, so you fail.
its a fact of life what i said above. you have to be deluded to put 1k into welding a rotten unoriginal bodged late model sr up. it will never return the money or man hours and tbh will never be as good as the best ones around. hence, break the rotter, keep a better one going and make a few bob. everyone wins.

I agree in theory but its where one would draw the line at where a car is worth repairing or not, there would be no old cars left if we went by your judgement

That SR your on about i doubt is ready for the scrapheap

have you seen it? i have, and its very bad, as has spud and he agrees. i dont want us all to scrap every old car, just to realise its not worth saving some. look at col smith, he's broken far better ones, as a job yet everyone buys his bits. same thing dude. if it was a 1.4 l or gl you wouldnt bother, so whats the difference with it being an sr? all it is is a bodykit and some stickers and trim.
