I've got an xe nova, coilovers, alloy wheels, bigger brakes and exhaust system.
Im just thinking about like it was originally a spin and its got a gsi bodykit, does anyone insure that? And cone air filter, thats just to standard to me? And other bits like that.
Hope that makes sense any help would be great.
And I know anything non standard is classed as a mod but you know what I mean :thumb:
Gsi kit is classed as a mod, as is the filter. So should be declared.
Standard is how it left the factory.

Yeah i know, just rang the insurance after posting this and said it will only up the premium for power increasing mods, they said it'll stay same for a roll cage so most prob be same for the kit.

thats what I have read on here. Who knows what they think about.
Get that in writing, preferably in reply to a letter that you've written detailing every single part thats been changed.
What insurance company is it?

Probs right then, I've heard they're the same as HIC? And HIC allow up to £1500 worth of mods without raising the premium, including roll cages and cosmetic modifications.
Flux own HIC
If that £1500 is right, my nova shouldn't have an increased premium? :d

Never heard that before. I thought all mods where looked at when working out the price..
And yes Hic own flux.

Other way round, Flux own HIC.
Well that's what they told me on the phone once, they may have changed it slightly since. I think the "free" mods is non performance ones only though.
I was told cause you are fitting a roll cage that means you can driver faster/hard cause your ment to be safer. Same as fitting better/bigger brakes. Mean you'll be driving fast so your most dangerous.
