You can remove it through the inspection cover, but you'll also need to take the other end off the box to withdraw the input shaft.

Job done.
You may have to slacken the gearbox the engine bolts just for a bit more room as the little clutch clips can come off.

I've found it easier over the years to just pull the box off.

Only real difference on the later c16 I can think of would be the later gearbox (like the F15) that didnt have the removable inspection cover?

iirc all F13s are the same....

just unbolt the box and move it over a bit.

Some, mainly from corsas and astras dont have the inspection plate as per my nova :(

Hence the C16 citing a different removal process. Its more difficult but still relatively straight forward - will just take longer.

my td has the plate but you cant get her out as the clutch is set in the flywheel, the flywheel is proud of the clutch (its hard to explain) so i had to remove the box bolts and mounts, pulled her out 2 inch and it were easy from there!

Thats a pot type flywheel balley, most novas afaik are flat type fly so it should be easily doable:thumb:

Its nothing from a nova, its an M7 thread, but I screwed an M8 bolt in half a turn and used that when I did mine.

did you use a slidy hammer?

Some of them come out easy, if you can get a pair of mole grips on a bolt it might work. Some are really stubborn and will need a good tug with a slide hammer
