I had a story and a plot for a book based on a race of people that shared our persona with us - like our shadows. they caused you tmake an **** of yourself though by tripping you up or making you do/say stupid things...they could only be seen by babies and cats/dogs and were mistaken for ghosts...

Until one day a wicked witch decided to separete us from our taunting selves and make the human rasce in to perfect error free automotons!
