can i tax a car with only the new keepers supplement of the log book (the small green bit you get when you buy a car) ?

im hopefully going to buy a new car next week but its right down south and not taxed, dont fancy a 4hour drive back without tax

make sure the new keeper slip hasnt already been stamped across the barcode or else they wont be able to tax it for you, but if it hasnt then theres no problem at all.

Yes. Providing the date of sale is no more then 3 months prior to the date you go to tax the vehicle.
