Hi,

I want to put austin mini round headlights on my nova because i had two brand new ones left over from my mini project a while back, what is the legal height they need to point, or is it a case of just not binding people, any diagrams or meseurments would be appreciated. I have made adjustable brackets to put them on just need to now the height.

Cheers
Nath

Good point. Why do you never think of these things before you ask.:tard:

just because you can doesn't mean you should..

the mini has two flat faced areas where you can fit 'prince of darkness' headlights which are convex. the nova is a Vee shape at the front & thus the lights won't fit straight. the twin headlight style (irmscher etc) is a flat face & suits it more. you can get them from mk1 golfs.

'prince of darkness' headlights
LOL lol

The Irmscher grille is slanted, but the headlight recesses have flat backs. They use Cibie HCR lamps, not Golf ones, but you'd probably be better off using golf items (if no Irmscher panel) as they should come with some form of mount which you could bodge in.

Or, use BMW E30 lamps and have decent light output

I have 2 after market brand new mini headlamps, which i have made brackets up for them to point straight and upright, (not going with the v). This should suffice i think, if there not bright enough i will get some clear crystal halogen ones at a later date.
