1600 8 valve engine
fitted new engine this week at it all evening but cant get it to start
it has spark and is turning over but makeing no effort to fire up
whats the fireing order for the plugs so i can double check

I think the firing order is 1-4-3-2. Did you see the engine running prior to fitting it? Was the shell an mpi shell or have you had to fit the fuel pump+fuel pump relay+wiring yourself?

double check the fuel rail connections as logic doesn't always work here. The one under the fuel reg is return, straight into rail is feed.

thanks its a engine for a rally car seen it running ya its on twin carbs so just has a electric fuel pump feed

firing order should be 1,3,4,2 mate is it getting fuel up mate

the problem now is that the plugs are not geting petrol,
any ideas what could be wrong carbs are geting plenty of fuel but nothing geting to the plugs

Does that black mark on the dizzy relate to cylinder one?
