I wouldnt go with the RAC personally. me and will found out on saturday night that if they hadnt fixed his car they wouldnt have been allowed to tow him because he didnt have a modified car policy!!! As his car was lowered they wouldn't take it anywhere. Its worth looking into i think.

Green Flag are cowboys. How often do u actually see a Green Flag patrol rather than a contractor?

Most of my family have used RAC and had no probs (My Dad has been a member for 35 years!), My Brother uses the AA and can't fault them.

However, The AA have more vehicles :|

my mum added me to the RAC family policy, used a couple of times (mates mini broke down, SR caliper seized on) they were always fine. even when i was in sheffield and claimed i was on my way home (2hrs, lancaster) and they whacked the car on and gave me a lift home

As long as they can't get it onto one of their trucks, if not they'll leave you.

doesnt matter how much its lowered, its its "modified" and you aint got a modified policy (?120 a year with RAC) its a useless peice of shit wank crap bollocks, im getting AA next time 100% abt that

In RAC Terms and Conditions (Possibly AA's too)

If your car can't be placed safely onto one of our recovery vehicles we reserve the right to refuse transportantion for your car.

Not those exact words, but you get what I mean. What are The AA going to do if your car won't go onto their recovery vehicles?

just phoned rac "thick" said modified and got blank response :o put on hold for ages finally came back and said that modified cars were not a problem as long as i stated thats what the car was when i called them for assistance

now what to do :o

my cars not major slammed only 40mm drop so i dont think be too much grief if any to get towed what u think ?

I know I do this alot but..........

What If one of your springs breaks, It's be seriously low then, won't it?

so worth getting coverd at all? if u got ur car lowerd for them not to take u anywhere really dont know what to do :(

You should join, becasue of engine/other problems and they can tow you with a rope if they have to.

But they can't tow you on a rope on motorways and if you have a suspension problem.

It's a risk you take when you go away from standard :?

At the end of the day if you dont travel far you DONT need it!

If you do, then you should and if the car can get on an MOT ramp it will get on the back of a truck! 40mm will be no problem and if a spring did fcuk!!! tyhen they'd have to sort it wouldnt they! Thats what they for!
