it's better to fit gte/gsi/sri/1.2i/1.4spi tank and lines

but u can run it in the bay but i wouldn't recomend it

aslong as you have a swirl pot, "hi" (5 bar) pressure lines, and a fuel pump in the bay (or under a rear arch) then there isnt really a problem with that idea

aslong as the fuel rail gets fule at 3-5 bar the regulator will sort the pressure out and then bleed the rest down the tank reurn line.

just dont have the pump or any fuel lines inside the firewall (the inside of the car) your fine

@ Cambridge, Why shouldn't he run the fuel lines inside the car?

1 converted mine from a 1.2i to a 1600i using the standard fuel lines that came with the car

is there a dif between 1200 lines and 1600 lines???

thought they were all the same, it was down 2 ur fuel pump

might change mine for a cav 1800 soon (got a nova GTE on at mo) :-)

The 1.6 uses steel lines, my 1.2 (carbed) used platic lines!
Steel pipes are steel pipes, but if u use a wider I/D i think ul get less fuel pressure, so its safer 2 get the lines from the donor car!

1.2i/1.4spi have copper lined plastic ones....

but the pump is a bit low pressured... i've got a 1.2i tank with a veccy 2.6v6 pump in it

Technically ur not allowed and fuel lines etc inside the vehicles firewall. i.e the bulkhead.

If one of the pipe should leak its leaking flammable liquid onto you, not good.

Our rally car's fuel lines run inside the car but they are braided with stainless steel and we have a built in fire extinguisher system.
