XE running problems

My XE is struggling to idle steady, and sometimes misses when revving up. I've only just finished the conversion so its only been fired up a few times. The engine ran ok in the astra it came from. Any ideas???

check leads are all ok then make sure plugs are good then if no joy try a spare coil perhaps

right, car has been into garage, mechanic couldn`t find problem (however i question how hard he looked as he made it perfectly obvious he wasnt interested in anything that wasnt standard). However he has brought it to my attention that shes overfuelling quite badly. i`ve just put a brand new lambda sensor on. any other suggestions??? plugs, leads, coil and dizzy are all ok. ??????

Fuel pump relay wired wrong (as in its getting a perm 12v)..
Faulty regulator.
Kinked/blocked fuel return pipe.
Timing a tooth out.
Maf sensor round the wrong way (if its been moved from the standard place)
Faulty MAF
