Lights doing weird things

1993 Nova 1.5td

Liight Eletrical problems:

My side lights and rear lights work fine, same with the brake lights and reverse light.

Main Beam - indicators flash and no main beam
Indicate left - rear indicators come on and stay on, side lights flash
Indicate right - right rear indicator flashes, side lights flash
Full Beam - its as tho I've put my hxzard lights on and no full beam.
If I flash full beam the indicators flash
When putting on my alarm main beam lights flash instead of the indicators.

Earth or fuses possibly? Remember my knowledge of cars is pretty limited

check the earth behind the dash clock i think this may be your problem.

infact chech all earths

Are there quite a few earths? Are they easy to spot?

just the clocks

small torx bit to romove the clock surround
then a x headed screwdriver to undo the 3 screws holding in clocks (1 either side and 1 at top)
pull clocks out a bit, remove speedo cable and plugs and the earth is behind them

Problem found and fixed. It was the earth from the front lights that had come very loose and the bolt was just turning no longer holding the wire in place. New bolt fitted - easy :)

Thanks, I know to most it would seem really simple to diagnose and fix but I am well chuffed I did it in 5 minutes and I know almost nothing about the workings of a car, getting better everyday tho :)
