She sold hers for 3.5k to a racing instructor based at brans
never been so scared whilst he was taking it for a test drive, you dont expect someone to hit the rev limiter in 1st 2nd and 3rd on a test drive !!
Nice guy thou, he took some pics for my other half as she was gutted selling it

You won't get a decent mk1 for that money, there like rocking horse poo. My bro has one and a few mate's. Cheapest for £5K.
You'll get a decent ST205 for that money. Easy to bring over Impreza/Evo power, much much much cheaper insurance, and not a common-as-turd chavmobile either lol
Whats that? You need a picture? Oh go on then lol

HDR = makes you look good but still cheating lol

Newish, modern car FTW. Astra mk4 coupe/hatch turbo, a BMW of somekind, something from the VAG stable. IMO stay away from Evo 4's. Mate has one and has had to spend £££'s on it. A Scooby for that money will be a ****ter more than likely. And a Cav turbo....lol a you for real??
I think this would be a better choice then a scooby ect

Go very well, understated and have good engines. Its one in plymouth with just over 700bhp  and yes it goes

cav turbo FTW:thumb:
Find a nice one and you have yourself a mint car:)
If you need practicality and/or seat/doors,
Impreza Classic. I've got one and been uber-impressed.
And it's available for sale. . . . Right on your price bracket too. . .

If you can live without seats and a roof, I'd buy a Robin Hood (Cheap Caterham style kit car) loads on Ebay/P/heads
I'm looking for a decent MK INdy at the mo (more expensive)

depends what kind of car you want really
old car and fast : id be looking at scoobs. should get a decent mr2 turbo for that money. E36 m3, very cheap now. wouldnt touch an evo for that money though.
a car just for fun : surely you can find a nova let for 3.5k, if not then corsa let, crx, r5, etc.
but if you want something newer and more reliable then maybe a astra gsi (not sure how cheap these are now), 172/182, cant really think of anything cos i dont like new cars lol

I'd sooner be nice to marland than consider a VAG car (unless its an A6 or bigger lol)
Cheers Stuart!

Is it essential that it's this size of car? If so, maybe look into Audi Quattro A4s with the 1.8 turbo lump. It's not as quick as an evo etc but they are tuneable, well built and a bit more stealthy :thumb:

cav tubby for the win dude
1. quick (modds depending)
2. look verry smart as standard
3. reasonably cheap to insure as a classic
4. lots of modern comforts ie leather seats and electric everything
jus a couple of plus poins only do think about the bad ones thow as folowed
1. rust isues arches chassie legs floor pans etc prone to rust
2. high mileage most have done around 120000 mile mark nowerdays
3. transfer boxs are prone to letting go. but there are cars out there fitted with vts locked transfer boxs and this will cure the problem
4. general wear and tear and car park dings and scratches
but i asure you if you finde a good one you will not be disapointed cavs are very cool and retro and are very comfertable to drive long distances or for daily use and am sure many people on here will agree with me :thumb:

Cheap and cheerful, tuneable as well. Iffy build on pre-2004, but then again it's bulletproof compared to scoob/evo

Good cars indeed. I have a standard Cupra, 180bhp 6 speed (not 210/225bhp)
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt284/graphicgrafter/IMG_1397.jpg
If you want a wolf in sheeps clothing. Build quality seems fine, it's a mk4 gti mixed with an S3 for cheaper. Cupra's and Cupra R's are the same money for early models.
