Just bought my new project, and collecting it tonight (so photos then hopefully)

3dr 1987 Nova Antibes
Red
33,000 miles
No previous owners

I have not seen one of these for ages, so I intend to perhaps keep it standard.

It may be a winter project as my other 3 Novas are needing work before I get round to this one!

And that will be it for the body! Ish!

Is it bad I am tempted to keep steel wheels?

Steve
29-08-09, 10:29 PM
Not really, if you've got a fast nova then why not keep one as standard as possible? Looks to be in excellent condition, nice find. :thumb:

Yes it is really -

I am going to use it whilst the SR gets an engine rebuild with its Blydenstein head getting fitted

I may put the white teardrops on it which I think could look good, lowered 60mm and that be about it - perhaps I may put a sportex backbox on it I have lying about

I always wanted one when I passed my test, but Novas were just too expensive then so had to make do with a rusty mk3 fiesta!

I remember when I was an apprentice at a vx dealership and a blue antibes came in and I wanted it so much!!!

With the SR off road for winter for engine rebuild and bodywork it seemed sensible to utilise the wheels . .

Car looks nice, I had a wee E Reg in Red and for the life of me I don't know what I done with it - that's the Antibes and a white SR now that've lost:confused:

Aye I lost a few over the years - the f reg SR (F999XKF) and the mint mk1 shell I had (C555GNF) in china blue springs to mind!!!

This one is staying though - its totally mint except a poor repair to a parking ding on nsr arch! Typical insurance job!!
