rev counter problem

just brought a nova mk2 1.2 expression had gsi lump thrown in tryed putting green wire from coil to back of clocks and cuts car out ? and the clocks are sr clocks

1.6 engine should have a rev counter output from the ECU

Do not put it on the ht side ffs!

Run it from the ecu, looks like a spade connector!

managed to get something out of it tonight i run a wire from the green on the coil straight to the green coming from the back of the clocks and when i start the engine the clock goes to 2000 revs and dont move no matta how hard you rev the engine ? all my wiring was a bodged up mess when brought the car i have had to get pretty much re wire everything how can i identifiy the ecu rev counter feed wire

the green wire comes out from the ecu i think.

yep will be with 5 wires that connect the engine loom to the cars loom

found the wire from the ecu and the clock just sits at 2 grand and moves a little when reved is it broke ? dose any 1 have a set for sale
