1.6 into 1.0

Hi guys i went ahead and got my bay painted and welded now its time to fitt the engine , few mates are going to lend a hand with this , what i am concerned with is i havent heard that much good news on running the 1.6 gte engine with the bosch set up using the 1.0 loom , mowgli is being great and offering some help as he has carried out this swap before i was just wondering if yous had any tips for me , i have the 1.2 spi tank here i can get a 1.4 astra mpi feul pump for next to nothing from the breakers yard what i need to know is what dizzy can i use and what coil will the 1.2 ones do the job ? ive a few pictures of what i need to know

heres the plugs i have on the loom for my engine

theese are the wires i have left from the 1.0 loom the heavy white cable just goes to the + side of the battery i dont know what the black , black/red are for theese are coming from this little black thing

i also have a blue wire that is on the same part of the loom but does not go through the black thingy

as stated any help would be f**king excellant as im completly stuck here and i need to get the car running ASAP thanks Nath .

the one on the left looks very much like the RON plug, and the one on the right looks a lot like the dizzy one..

you must use the correct 1.6 coil with hall effect sensor.

when we advise to get everything for one of these conversions, we mean it..

is left not the main loom plug? I see perm live, coolant temp sensor, sw live, earth and tacho on it, probably eml hiding round the back.

edit: also ron plug has a clip on it on the female end which is longer than the female plug, and clips onto the male end. If that makes sense lol

yes one on the left looks like the main engine loom plug! also one on the right does look like the dizzy one to me!

Well that blue one you are holding with your fingers is the temperature wire that goes on the wee sensor on the inlet

cheers leeboo , so that goes to the inlet im just left with black / black and red / heavy white , im not at the house at the min il upload some better pics when i get home

Well that blue one you are holding with your fingers is the temperature wire that goes on the wee sensor on the inlet

black is sw live, black/red is starter relay, need to connect them to the wires on the main loom plug (left on the picture)
