Hi guys im just wondering what manifolds would fitt the engine i have ive a 1.2 manifold off my spi but im guessing it wont do the job ? is there any other engines that the manifold would fitt im preferrably looking a 4 branch but anything that fitts will do just need to book mot soon

1.2 spi have square ports and 1.6 have round so i dont think it would work, a 1.4 mpi 1.6 mpi would be the options, sportex do a 4into1 manifold but they lose you power rather than gain anything ive been told
Thats rubbish above lol, 1.2 through to 1.6 exhaust port shapes are the same on the 8v's.
A 1.3/1.4 manifold would be best, but it would run on a 1.2 spi item, ofc its not ideal and it would lack power badly.

surely 1.2 and 1.4 spi are sqare ports and 1.3 carb are round ish and 1.4 and 1.6 mpi are circle so to get the right flow you want a 1.4 1.6 mpi manifold not arguing just thats what i thought they were becuase ive had the problem with a 1400 carb nova
I ran a 1300 complete manifold & system on my engine for about a year with no noticeable problems

You are thinking about inlet ports, which do vary.
Exhaust manifolds however, are interchangable between 1.2-1.6 petrol models. Obviously apart from lambda sensor holes etc.
And some are twin downport too lol
I did say exhaust ports too, inlet ports change, exhaust ones dont unless its a 16v or bigblock.

im not 100% on this, but bar the backbox, youll probably need the complete exhaust to use it, as the 1.2 spi has funky triangluar plate shaped connections.
