Been with them for the past 5 years for my modified cars and they've quoted me £385 for my nova with everything declared which is the best quote I can get. Now I cant afford to run two cars right now so I need to get my micra insured, every year with my documents they give you a price beating guarantee meaning find the cheapest price and they'll match it. For the micra I shopped around online and found £151 fully comp! lol Told this to flux and they said we cant beat it the best we can do is the same price as your current price for your nova! I was fuming! £385 to insure a micra?? they are surely having a laugh!! All they said was there isnt much market for your car and thats the best we can do. (Bearing in mind ive been a loyal customer for over 5 years)

What a load of ballbags!!

Only reason I wanted to keep with them is if I want to swap it over for my nova at a later date it will save losing half the years no claims than starting over again.

Thats stupid, surely you can threaten court action or something as its false advertising!

Can't be bothered really its just so annoying, if it wasnt for modified cars i'd just go wherever was cheapest. Every year they've beaten it, not by much, but still, to offer me the same price as a highly modified car is piss taking. Then to say "sorry thats the best we can do, maybe you should try somewhere else." Wheres the customer care there! she basically said your cars sh!t and we dont want your business, but in a nice, proffessional way. lol lol

Sky ftw. They offered the best premium on the Vito and they will also mirror my NCB if i wanted to insure another car with them.

^ Cheers Lee.

Only trouble is, we have minimum premiums... the £151 on the Micra is simply too low for us.

Flux aren't competitive on standard cars TBH.

See this is the funny thing, Flux could not get any ware close for the XE track nova, and Sky beat them hands down (i have been with flux for about 8 years on at least one car)

But then my passat is with flux as the standard insurance was the cheapest about, and they beat Sky too on the 1.2L nova, due to the fact Sky would not insure me fully comp as the car was no valuable enough (book price i guess) Flux did a classic policy full comp for £240 Sky couldn't get TPFT this cheep for me, but as said there bang on for the modified XE, so i guess it's all down to personal things, past history/area's you live etc etc etc!

flux wouldnt put me on my dads zafira diesel at 24 said something about it being a high risk - my dad kindly pointed out that i had a 300bhp impreza and that they were being a little petty (although not in those words)

Flux are gays.

They used to send me letter, texts, emails every week telling me my policy would be cancelled because i didn't send them some paperwork.

Paperwork was posted and faxed 8 times in total. I sent them all the special delivery receipts. And i used a friends NHS fax machine, so i had the NHS receipt copies and fax gaurentee.

Arseholes !

Flux have always given the best quote for me on modified cars. Fact is theres no that much choice with non-standard engines. I tried sky and they were quite a bit more, worked out cheaper/easier to stay with flux

That'll be why you couldn't beat my £170odd quote for my 1.2 then.
