Fuel tank

Will a MK2 1.2i fuel tank fit a MK1 shell? Is just the sender location that differs or are the tanks physically different? I had a nightmare trying to fit mine today and it looks like it wont fit.

Yes, a mate fitted one on his.

Only problem is some mk1 shells don't have the inspection hole under the rear seat for the pump so he cut one just in case he ever needs to change the pump.

Thanks Lee, yeh the fact i dont have an inspection hole made me wonder.
