2.0 16v conversion. Oil cooler??

Ive been doing a 2.0 16v conversion on a m8s nova and im gonna be doing one on my nova soon. One thing that is puzzling is the GTe oil cooler. Do you need it ? and if so does that mean that brackets have to be made for the nova and the pipe work has to be put in. Or is there a way of getting rid of it altogether as the bay is pretty cramped as it is!!!

get rid not needed, the pipework can be removed.

i was gonna fit one on my modded 1.4 8v as it came with one when i bought a engine to strip/canibalise for parts.

not exactly the same but i bin told not to bother
