1.4 carb

ive heard that people have put a 1.3 carb on a 1.4 but what if it were the other way around 1.4 carb on a 1.3 would this produce problems???

There both excatly the same carbs, Jets are different, so if you fitted a 1.4 carb to a 1.3 it would overfuel.

Tbh theres no point unless youve done other work to the engine, i mean proper work, and then i wouldnt expect you to be running the 2e3 carb.

your probably getting the carb mixed up with the cylinder head ? as aw06 says, there exactly the same carbs, just jetted differently. the 1.3 head however has different shaped inlet ports which offer better flow characteristics against the 1.4 item. probably a slight raise in compression too for a tad more power, if it were on a 1.4 block.
if its deffo carbs your talkin about and want a replacement for yours ? you can switch the jets around.
