That fac tmade me LoL the other night after cleaning my bike and having a few beers on the front whilst doing so, then saying to my dad im off for a blast round the block (jump a few speedbumps, pull a few bunnyhops up/down kerbs, pull a few wheelies, turning endos and such like boyish tricks to make sure al my bolts are tight and my brake hoses arent holed, and his response was "but youve been drinki........., oh yeah youre bike lOl" lol

Wow! Andy Ruffell! I had exactly the same bike as a teenager. Mine had spokes originally but bought new white Skyway mags and black Aeroyal seat and later added the MX brakes. Even had dice caps! Had it pinched in the end- gutted!!

but the average to restore one is about 200-300 quid.

That is very much like my first "BIG" BMX i got it when i was 5, it was the same colors but had blue spoked wheels! Ace lol lower the seat before the frame bends/snaps!

Oh dear god, just done a quick ebay search, and im kicking my self, as when i was 13-15 me and my mate bought loads of old burners, and random BMX's from car boots for £10 etc, and Ive seen 5 i had, and there selling for hundreds, most i killed by abusing them, and i even stripped the gold finish off what must have been a super burner, as the chrome look was all the rage! :eek: :roll: :cry:

Any ideas what it's meant to look like? Wasn't sure if it was originally an Aero Pro Burner? I may end up doing the mags in white and the bike in the 'classic' colours. I know those mags are crap BTW. lol

Its a mk2, the wheels are called simplex mag wheels, sugino maxy cross pedals

from the pic those look like tange grips - expensive.

the date is either 1984 or 85, if you give me the serial number on the back of the seat tube on the frame i can decipher it.

you shouold get some sandpaper and rub it down and see what colour it is underneath, then i can tell you exactly what model it is and show you what it looked like originally.

heres a pic of 2 of my bikes, the one on the left is a chrome mk2 i recently stripped it and sold it though.

I prefer the 5 spoke rims personally.

If it is white underneath then its an 85 mag burner.

if blue its an 84 mag burner.

I cant see whether its got an R cut out on the back dropouts, if it hasnt then its a raleigh styler and not a burner.

Right, can you help me know what this bike was, and any pics would be nice!

I had this as my second "big" bmx i was 9, it was a Raleigh, white frame, black 5spoke mags, straight saddle post, black pimple grips under red covers, so you could either have it as red with the black showing through, or fold the red of for just black.
