Hi i am in desperate need of a new starter motor for my 1.3 SR ( F ) reg .. have a question though will an early corsa B 1.5 TD ( L ) reg starter work in there or any other early corsa B petrol cars this is the 1st time my wee car has let me down in 4 years & im @ a loss without her any advice great thanks GaZ .. :thumb: ..

The TD one is different, as its problery a izuzu engine.

Your best off getting your old one off, counting the teeth and going from there. As its the differance in the teeth thats the main thing. But any smallblock vauxhall engine starter will bolt up.

i put a nova one in a corsa p reg 1.4 and it worked perfect well until you tried to move it in gear the linkage was hitting it lol so corsa into a nova yes but other way no.

Nova ones are massive tho depending if they have been changed.

Apparently the corsaB petrol starter will be ok to go in my nova 1.3 SR ' BUT NOT the other way round because of the size of the armature if that is the case could i perhaps swap the whole armature over from my duff nova starter & hope it would be ok ?? :roll: ..

Just fut the corsa one to the SR, no need to play with anything.
