As well as has been mentioned you have to have hi-viz for all occupants.

Although you don't technically need a spare bulb kit you need to be able to change out a blown bulb if it occurs (HID's excluded) :wtf: :tard: so in reality this means yes, a kit.

I didnt bother with a GB sticker or the beam deflectors when I went to the ring last year.... they were in the car incase I had to fit them but didnt fancy wrecking the headlights

Apparently our works barge (Vectra) has a fuse which, if you remove, angles the lights so they're suitable for euro driving. Never used it mind. Never used the beam bender stickers either lol

What's the deal with this?

Read something a while back that claimed Euro-spec beam patterns don't point into the 'verge' i.e. oncoming traffic in the UK therefore they don't need beam deflectors here

That could make sense. I've not driven a euro car before though so not sure how the beam pattern falls on them...

I'll take a look at the barge's beam pattern next time I drive it, maybe it doesn't kick up at the side

do you have to go into a city?

germany works with a vignet in the city's, banning older cars from town centers.. some focking tree huggers there.

its called 'umwelt plakkette'

older petrol cars need 1, and older dieseld too, its about 10 euro.

2007 car? in that case, you need the green umwelt sticker, and you can go everywhere.
driving into a 'umweltzone' without one will get you a fine.

the want to ban older 'evrimental unfriendly' cars from the towns

(the did sort of the same thing 50 years ago with yellow stars... focking german faggets)

Ernie

Interesting. Our works barge is a 2006 car, we do sometimes have to drive it to Germany as well... might have to look at that

The hi viz thing is for France only, you need the warning triangle or flashing light to.
