View Full Version : Connection in footwell
i have found a connector that doesn't have anything to plug into? Everything seems to work ok. just wondering whether anyone will know what it is for? To the right of the pedals there is a bunch of wires and this one poking out.
Will try and get a pic of it
Cheers
cant get a pic, camera is bust! :(
Might be for the ciggy lighter? without a pic i cant help.
To the right as in the accelerator side? How big is it? Mk1 or Mk2?
Could be for the dim/dip relay...
Pah missed the "Right".
If its a single wire it may be for part of the interior light, iirc theres always one left over, Is the wire grey?
wire is black just uploading some pics off my phone. not best quality.
Black wires are usually switched lives. Hmm.

looks like it should go to the wing indicator to me
It works though
Possibly a feed for an extra that our novas dont have, ive seen this connector dangling there on lots of novas, dont know what its for but it doesnt seem to need anything plugged into it so dont worry lol

could it be a switched live for electric windows?
could it be a switched live for electric windows?
Nope, feed for that comes direct from the fusebox via a plug on the window loom which clips straight in!

Its the offside wing indicator, it should connect to a black/green wire that pokes out just under the fuse box...well, it does on mine!
If the indicator works then its not that lol

no seriously! i've got a nova sat in the garage with no wings on it because its getting undersealed and had to take the panel off on the inside to get to the wing bolts, i went to have a look, it connects the black/green wire, that then goes to a thicker black wire to the indicator then earthed
have you got aftermarket indicators? maybe someone connected them to the black/green wire instead of using the thicker black wire?
