Front end swap?

I'm thinking about Mk2ing the saloon, using the front end of lee's halfaloon. GSi bumper (which I'd need to source) in black, body coloured grille (black insert though), wings, headlights.

pros:
- headlights might actually point straight
- doesn't look so "modified"
- better cooling

cons:
- rich and craig already have mk2'd saloons
- Mk2 headlights are shoite, and the beam pattern with HIDs is a bit shonky
- need to get a GSi front bumper
- won't look so different

Thoughts?

[edit] if I do swap it over, I suppose I could keep the Mk1 setup (so hands off vultures) so I can swap back as I see fit...

Tried a photoshop of that years ago and didn't like it, too much blue. Plus its easier for to whip it off and respray it black if the paint goes manky lol

I,m in the same boat jack lol , i,ve got all the parts appart from bumpers but i carnt make my mind up what to do.But as said i might just bolt all the bits on and see what i think,you might aswell go mk2 seen as youve already got a mk2 rear :thumb:

Gay, psh. I like to be able to see where I'm going at night. I remember when I had the original Mk1 lamps on it temporarily when we first built it with the XE, I drove it one evening and my God it was almost dangerous. That was with "decent" bulbs as well lol

Only concern would be HIDs in the Mk2 headlamps, as the beam pattern may be a bit dodgy. Plus I've never been too keen on the bi-xenon HIDs
