i saw 150mph near the red line in 5th gear late one nite after work (on this free private test track i found lol) it was still pulling!!

Scoobs are awesome, the way they suck you into the seat, its fantastic. My uncle has one, and so does my aunt, aka his wife. I always remember the first time out in his, he said to me, want me to how you what this can do? i was like yeah ok, lets see what all this hype is about, and fook me i simply couldnt believe a car under ?25k could accelerate so goddam fast. And oh lord do they handle good, people who say there slow simply haven't been in one before, they are great cars!!

lmao, brings back memories of driving my nova down to MK for one of the meets ages ago and having a little incident with my bonnet vent on the motorway!! it got ripped off and flew over the roof of the car and into another car behind me! doh! :roll:

I am really not all that suprised by that, my uncles one does 150mph, but simply only coz of the gear ratios, it you adjusted them im sure itd go alot faster and pull it quite easily. good cars.

The early models had weak Aluminum bonnets (93-97).
They added extra strenght to them after that so you might be alright.

Probally why they added the extra strenght then.

maybe u mean the early ones?? cos on my model it has the new bonnet with the swage lines down the sides, which would give it a lot more strength

intresting if they added the lines to toughen the bonnet up
