yesterday i went out side to start on the underseal and my doors were unlocked but i didnt think anything about it and started jacking it up when my fiancee's brother noticed the drivers door had been pulled out quite a bit so that will explain why the doors were open but nothing had gone why would they do this arggghhhhhh??? lol

its the easiest and quickest way to get into old cars, i tried it on a scrapper and it took me 20 secs to gain entry and it didnt even make a sound

its easier if you just pull the rubber out at the bottom off the window and go that way!! ive locked my keys in once or twice can any one tell???
and then no doors get bent but thick as **** car thieves like to bend and ruin your door as if we dont have problems with getting good gm doors any way!!!
^^ did the same last week, was horrified at how easy it is to unlock, gonna tack a plate above mine or de-lock it completely

the door should easily bend back into shape...just don't do it with your window down, i did it with a banger i had a few years ago because water kept leaking in....and it folded the frame:eek:

I had a mk2 Astra GTE that was unlocked one morning when I specifically locked it before going to bed the night before... Disturbed in the act I would imagine (or bottled it).
re title; I hate most people
^ lol was about to say, whats all this about "some" people? :d
Its not the easiest way to get into a Nova anyway. But average Barry McChav is too dense to see the obvious way to get in.
Any weld doors up, remove locks and jump in Dukes of Hazzard style gen? :d

mine was too broken into, the literaly snapped the 3 spoke gte steering wheel off(even took half the thread of the top of the coloum with them)now i tried doing this in a scrapper's to see how easy it is,and im touching 19 stone 6ft plus, and feck would it come off i snapped the steering lock yeah but couldnt actualy snap it off, must have been some roid headafter his last jab!
gets me that they leave a 300pound blaupunkt head unit at the side of them.
plus what else was in the car !!!:(

yeah the car didnt even move an inch and i think they juast wanted somthing to do
tbh I wouldnt weld plates in to stop the easy opening trick as you can 100% believe that YOU will need to make use of that feature one day lol
having gotten used to leaving a topless car in carparks, its now my theory that you take anything of value out of sight and let the scumbags get in, have a look and then bugger off when they cant nick the car or the stuff in there. Also some see an unlocked car as a trap :d
Put a webcam on the dashboard with a cable going down behind the dash ;)
I make use of that trick weekly, funking useless with keys lol

I'll soon be making a guide on how to make the nova less stealable, not that i want to, but every sunday night someone tries to steal a car along our road! as in every car i've had leaks on one of the doors,
even the other car i have now suddenly started leaking from the top of the door, im guessing they bottled it when they set the alarm off...they obviously never spotted the flashing led:roll:

AKA a car thieves guide to all the ways into a nova... bad idea imo, it's easy enough, don't make it even easier.

and way i got some cctv now had too buy it off my mum lol
A nova will only be a target for the opportunistic thief, so the best thing is to make it easy to get into (although, even if it was unlocked they would no doubt try to bend the door lol) but with nothing of value in there. So long as they can't hotwire it - remove the king lead for example - they'll probably get bored and move on.
Its cars of value (Ok, that includes some Novas as well) that will be either stolen to order or worth putting the effort into.
and stolen to order usually means "dont damage the fecker"
