View Full Version : The V6 is alive!
Rite peeps as you may well know i have went for the v6 conversion, its in now, running and theres just a few little minor wires to connect (temp gauge etc). The conversion went ok, no real major probs. To tell the truth i did want a turbo but it was hard finding one (i couldnt find one), the v6 was there so i thought fuck it ill be different and do it, im happy i made that decision. As for peeps who were on about uprating bits and pieces, my suspension is already up rated and im going to put poly bushes all round this wk hopefully. The front end doesnt sit any lower than before the conversion, well it probably does but it isnt visable and i got no probs driving it. Ill have to get some pics. Anways overall im happy with it.

The engine is from a cav, its a 2.5

How long did it take? wot u mean. I think you mean how long did the conversion take, it only took a week but wud hav only taken a couple of days but i had to wait around for parts etc.

Nice one, i bet with all that torque ot pulls up hills like a concorde with NOS in it :o
is this in the astra in the pic? when i put the 2.5 v6 in my nova people where telling me that it wouldnt be much faster than a valver, but they were wrong, its miles faster in every way slightly more front end heavy but not much but the best bit is the noise, better than any valver/turbo.

strange iv seen a number of std valvers racing a 2.5 v6 nova nad they all killed it pretty easily.
mark you gonna put 3L cams in it and get superchip. both supose to add 20-25bhp

If you think ians car is a turbo I think u will find ur wrong.
Try throttle bodies
