View Full Version : Throttle bodies 1.6
Anyone got some? Where from how much and what do you need to run them? Can they be ran off a standard ECU or would I need something like a DTA system? Do they drink the fuel or is it not much different?
I don't mean the Dblias (sp) throttle bodies I mean like Jenvey direct to head throttle bodies.
Feed me.
std ECU cant be used, so any of the aftermarket options (that do fuel and ign) are there for you.
Fuel consumption, if driven "normally" is actually better than std, but the noise is sooooo addictive that you get worse lol
Give Jamsport a ring on 01604 755529, ask for Mark Broster, he will give you a price for everything you need.
Tell him Jim with the black Nova gave you his number.
No, but if I keep feeding Mark work, I might get some bits for free :D
just for the record mr wwwmwmwmwmwmwmwmwm is this an 8 or 16V engine you want to ITB?
Tis a 16v and I'm not looking to buy right now but I am interested for sure after going out in my mates redtop with them on, The noise is just orgasmic.

lollol just wont be the same though :(, Just spoke to Mark at Jamsport, £2850 for all the gear and I think he said mapping, I have a bad memory lol I aint got that kinda money at the ready and would take some serious saving due to only working part time, But I really want throttle bodies.
imho you can do it for less than £1500 inc mapping if you dont mind a learning curve and 2nd hand parts

it doesnt have to be that way.
ive been after t.b's for years myself, theyre not cheap but im kinda glad not every man and theyre dog can afford them - keeps them special, power gaining, awesome sounding; as said. Also worth remembering - its so much more than just that - the kit bins so much o.e extras your left with a much more basic, lighter, bearer engine.
Well worth imo.
