nova got a shunt today

arrived at work today and just like normall i indicated in plenty of time to turn off the main road into my place of work, as i was braking slowly i suddenly heard someoe locking up ther brakes. i looked in the mirror and ther was a women in a vw passat locking up trying to stop behind me as i waited for oncoming traffic to clear for me to turn right into work. she managed to stop in time but unfortunatly for me and her the 18yr old in the 55plate seat leon didnt stop and shunted her which shunted her into me :(
no one was seriously hurt but the women in the passat had a bit of whiplash. she was verry concerned about her horse saddles that wer in the boot of her car.
the first thing the policeman said to me was "is this your car" i said yes he said "well your getting a ticket" i said why "he said "your plates are illegal" i laughed and suprisingly we had an argument which ended in him walking off and me NOT getting a ticket :thumb:

yea the bumper, back panel and floor and tailgate are finished and the bumper obviously lol um well i said to him does it look like i care about a fine wen my car looks like that lol i was a bit angry so i said give me the ticket then he then said i only said i might give u a ticket so i said stop threating me with it either give me a ticket or dont. he then walked off and we delt with another officer and i watched the other officier drive away a bit later lol

yea floor is up abit but it will streighten and the spare wheel carrier isnt damaged and thers no damage beyond ther. i was just glad it hasnt popped the rear arches out

That would deffo be an insurance write off, I guess the cage saved it though.

Are you going through insurance? If so, I'd remove those plates lickety split, as an insurance assessor could use that (illegal plates = unroadworthy car) to get out of paying.
