I am due to renew my insurance, I have only had my golf for 4 weeks so only had to upgrade for a short while, i was quite concerned as to how much they were going to sting me for a years cover.

The car: 1996 (N) Golf GTi 2.0l 16v (group 16), Total closure CAT 1 alarm.

Me: 22 years old, 1 claim, 3 points, 1 years NCB, been driving for 4 years, quoted for area D.

Wich is amazing considering they want ?1k for my GSi (group 11) with the same security, valued at less than half the Golf.

I know about the Nova image thing but the golf is 5 groups higher and worth over ?2k more.

Hi Ben,

Best way, don't take the first quote they offer you as they'll rip you off if you let them. I'm with Performance Direct, good quote last time but will screw them down first........ then hit them with the 15% discount they offer to VxlSCC members :D
