I dont know the exact thickness needed you gimp.

measure the CR, then play with my CR calculator and guesstimate the thickness needed to get the CR you think you want.

i cant find any info on the x16xe engine lol

Stuart

I had an excel program somewhere that told you the CR as you entered the spacer plate thickness, fook knows what ive done with it though, might of been on my old laptop

i think he guessed.

look at it this way, the bigger the spacer, the bigger the boost

face it baxter, you are off the map with this engine, somewhere near the 'here be dragons' bit.... everything you are doing to it is an adventure.

General Baxter

Stuart

Graeme

I think you may have to raise the bonnet slightly for a half a meter spacer

mowgli
21-08-09, 10:44 PM
lower mounts will do it

Graeme
21-08-09, 10:45 PM
I didn't think of that

Stuart

and slant mount the engine.

why not just use two metal head gaskets and you can make up your desired thickness with just using so many layers of the gasket ???

2mm spacer with 1 headgasket. really depends if you want to runbig boost but the thicker the spacer the slower it will be until the turbo kicks in. are you using aftermarket management?

let_nova
21-08-09, 11:45 PM
standard managment
