CAR - Saxo 1.1 with 1.6 vtr engine, interior, bodykit etc,
REASON - Crash it on purpose at a chavvy carpark meet to 1. get another french piece of sh1t off the road, 2. make them cringe. lol
import s13
can pick one up for a grand, will need a few more grand to keep the thing on the road though lol
My first thought for a sub £1k shooter is always an S13.
Probably a Mitsubishi FTO
Fail.
or could get a starlet for a K surly/ be a bag of **** tho...
I'd only be interested in a starlet turbo and I'd be concerned about one for a grand
If I was looking for something more sedate, I'd like an old barge Vauxhall - Senator, Carlton etc. Or, if I could find a decent one for the money, an 1850HL Dolomite
Meh, I don't think there's anything wrong with them, might be a bit ugly but they are well built and pretty nippy.
A bit? lol
£1k won't get you much of an FTO either tbh, you'd be looking at the 2.0 non-MIVEC ones with high mileage or very early ones :(
galant V6's are about a grand lol
or you cuold get 1000 Sieras

Mazda rx7 twin turbo phase 1 (not convertible)
Reason: fast, rwd, fun fun fun
Audi 100 2.6 Quatro
Or a 2.3 5cyl 20v quattro Audi 90, that'll set you back about 500 and you'll get that back when you break it for spares (it'll never rust)
MX-5/ Eunos roadster. Light, RWD, 50/50 weight distribution, reliable. You'll get whatever you spend on it back unless you crash it. Evo magazine regularly rate this little old car highly, it features this month alone in an article of their favourite cars, finishing in the top ten alongside Zonda F, F50 and 996 GT3 for sheer pleasurable driving.
Anyone who says you're a ghey/hairdresser can carry on doing so, they're either uncomfortable with themselves, weak enough to be peer pressured into thinking that or just a pathetic homophobe. You're going to be the one who is going to have a lot more fun as anyone who's ever driven one will agreee.
I bought a starlet gt tubro for £600 few years ago, was an auto tho lmfao
Also bought a FTo Mivec for £900 sold it same day for £1800
but then got a calibra turbo for £80 once lmfao
think you would struggle with a 325i e30 for a grand though they have shot up in price.
My choice for £1k car would be 206 GTi i think, i really liked my one of them and paid £750 for it 3 years ago! either that or a Clio 172 bought a 52 plate one for £1k couple years back.
Damn i miss the motortrade!

Used to have a customer who was a coke dealer and he used to trade cars in with us every couple of weeks, gave him £1500 for his S1 RST too but that would blow the £1k budget lol
Some of them like the 206 was accident damaged, needed wing and door, the calibra turbo was in the local paper as an MOT failure lmfao, only paid £1200 for my phase 2 vectra gsi, and we paid £500 for a phase 1 vectra gsi with a blown engine which had 50k miles and fsh was mint, even better had spare engine sat there doing nothing.

I've had three Mk2 Uno Turbos... loved them all and would buy another at the drop of a hat. The trouble is rust rust rust. Mechanically they are very good, even running high boost on a standard engine. Someone on the Uno Turbo club contacted the DVLA and IIRC there were under 500 left in the UK.. that was at least 3 years ago
My white Mk2 Uno used to beat my neighbours Boxter 'S' up to silly speeds.. I think I embarrassed him into buying his Carrera 4S, which incidently my Turbo converted Mk1 Mr2 will also beat up to silly speeds.. I think he has now bought another (faster) porker though..I need more boost, and some forgies :d
