seen this on the bay.. it looks like a cut down turbo with a gearbox on it......

anyone know if it works, cos it looks rather compact, thus easy to fit.

its a centrifugal (sp) charger mate used on race cars to keep weight and size down
rotrex S/C's are the inlet side from cummings and mated to a gearbox. VERY good chargers, dont add as much heat as a hEaton, but you dont get as much boost.... swings and roundabouts.
Full setup like that "should" be around a grand

These are great for compact bays like in a nova
Theoretically you can run a centrifugal S/C without any form of DV too...
Rotrex chargers are awesome!!
Honda boys are increaingly running these to great effect
ie 330BHP + on 2.0 16v engines

I have personally used these on our Formula Student single seater on a Honda Cbr engine, they are a very good piece if kit and so far perfomed well.

i wish i knew more about superchargers
ive seen pug 306 gti-6's with these show 350 bhp on the rollers. excellent bit of kit, just what baxter needs....
My mate is buying one for his '6 :d
