how would i mount some new speakers in the dash on a mk2 facelift,

I have never seen any new speakers with the twist in design.

I'm assuming that they are 10 cm ones?

Also i have a set of 90w 10cm kenwood speakers to go in the rear to replace the OEM ones.

Kenwood KFC-1058S 10cm Speakers

Dual cone speakers
90w maximum input power
45-20,000Hz frequency range

My head unit is the pioneer DEH-P3500MP rated at:

Max. output power (watts) MOSFET 4 x 50 Watt

DIN output power (DIN45324, +B=14.4 V) 4 x 27 Watt

are my 90w speakers ok to use and whats the maximum i can put in the front without an amp?

I also don't want to do a boot or door build or a stealth shelf as i live in a dodgy area.

Can you help

Thanks

head unit is powerful enuff to run the speakers. the kenwwods you have would prob be better in the front and get a set of 6x9's in the rear.

think fronts are 10cm - buggers to replace - mind you Ive got a set of 6x9 infinity(300w) running off an amp and with the fader adjusted to the dfront 2 notches the front ones are fine - the 6x9's more than make up for any performance.

Get a basic set of 6x9.

If yer living in a dodge area your best fitting a stealth shelf - basically the speakers are fitted into a recessed section of shelf and covered with acoustic carpet (available from most car places nowadays) - so theives dont see them.

You have to get custom fit speakers for the dashboad in a nova, ive seached everywhere and can't find any speackers that will fit.

So now ive got to put door pods in my car, and speakers into a box in the boot.
Your not alone mate,
Good luck, you will need it.

You can get speakers to fit as I have done it, I think there smaller than 10cm tho.

10cm speakers fit fine in the dash.... All that I had to do was to 'trim' the opening a bit to fit the speaker in. I did it at the same time as I did my dash conversion, and don't think that it will be that easy to do unless you were to take the dash out...
They are Pioneer ones if it makes any difference.
