View Full Version : Whats this wire for?
hi
Behind the passanger side boot trim is a loom of wires terminating into a yellow connecting block ( | -- ) with its terminals looking like that.
Any one know what it's for as in my H reg 1.0L it's not connected to owt.
Thanks

Boot Courtesy Light?!?
Should work when boot opens! if t doesnt work and the wire isnt plugged in then id be pretty certain that its that!!!!
Nope :(
the boot light is the single red positive wire comming from the loom behind the pannel and the negative is connected to the switch, as it's a negative earth system.
If i remember correctly the wires that go into the yellow plug are 1 black in one side and 2 black with purple lines on them into the other side.
as seen here on topbuzz,

rear wash wipe relay
or if yer referring to the one in the pic above with the wires running in to the black block - thats yer rear light cluster. (sorry of this is obvious but thats what the pic shows) - you can get the custer out by pushing it up and left I think...

thanks for the replies.
the big block isn't shown in the pic above, i think it might be for the relay as mentioned.
