Just a quick question, can you remover the sump without taking the manifold off?

Just being lazy, if it's doable would save the hassle of taking it off you see.

Nope you cant usually, because of the pickup pipe.
Unless you have a load of clearence between manifold and sump

Yeh, fook trying do the gasket with the manifold on. Its a messy/pain in the **** job even with the engine out the car,Lol.
Especially if using a normal 16v gasket as youve got to line up the bolt holes for gasket/baffle/gasket

I know I'll need to replace some of the inner arch skin too, so I'll have to make this my self, as it's gone slightly were they join etc.
