Just gone to use the car but it wont tick over at all. I just used it last night for work. these seems to be plenty of battery life and theres petrol in it but its not even trying to work. im having problems with my hazard switch, i knocked it the other day and it will not turn off. i have to put it in up side down just so i can use the indicators. could this have done any damage?
please help
thanks

take its a mk2
thats the old way chavs used to rob the novas turn the hazzard switch upside down so ignition comes on lol
so maybe its something to do with your ignition/ ignition barrel?

you checks fuses? i had one the other day on a friends nova that the hazzard switch had pushed and shorted out a bit of the loom n blew a load of fuses

all fuses look fine. i found a wire disconnected from the starter. its a red/black wire with a spade on the end. put that back on and still nothing. iv wedged the hazard in and ordered a new one but think it may be somthing else

try cracking the nut and retightening it were the earth strap goes to the gearbox , had this problem once and this was the fault

use a test lamp or multimeter to check when you turn the key the red and black gets 12v at the starter.

Good news got it started today, in the end it was a wire came off the starter motor and i put it back on the wrong terminal. when i looked at my spare starter there are 2 connections it can go on but i could only see one from under the bonnet!
