hi im back again:d
Ive recently scored myself a j reg 4 door salloon.Its a 1litre and ive had 115 out of it bouncing off the limiter and coppers just laugjhed at me.
I would like someone to help me confirm whether or not it is a genuine trip?
I have doubts over this please help as it has a cherry bomb? Where these standard equipment?
Oh and where do i need to put the 2 stroke oil or should i mix it meself?

if you flush the engine with water, it cleans out the valves and its likely you will get 120 out of it. or more

Do what the Audi drivers do, polish the head by sandblasting it. By putting sand down the inlet. Oh, and don't forget to lay the rear seats down for more speed.

yeah i heard the audi lads do that, they also loosen off all their wheel bolts for added camber when cornering don't they??

It probably keeps up with gsi due to the Cherry Bomb I've heard they double the power of the car and looking forward to seeing it

im sure they have more rpm then other nova engines ? or do they sound like they do because of chain.
it may sound sill but when you rev a 1.0L ie red line and let your foot of it sound like a dump valve

Theyre Carb engines, they dont have a limiter, they just run out of puff. so you can rev to your hearts content however it will end up throwing a piston before running out of puff..............

and its a good question to ask, who the hell is this chap asking daft questions?!

It might have said you were doing 105, but it really wasn't. And they're crappy pushrod so won't rev as hard as an OHC. The DV noise is probably valve float.

On a 1.0, the pushrods will snap LONG before the pistons go
