Saw this on the A59 last week, thought it may bring a giggle to you lads-

On closer inspection you can see its ratched strapped on to the tranny bed.
Two horses in it aswell!

In all seriousness though, he was actually driving down the road with it like that, no straps, no braces, and the back of the merc was full of old fridges lol
re the horsebox. that is a genuine conversion to fit a flatbed, be it a pickup or a trailer. Ifor williams still do them. there are meant to be bolts through from underneath for fastening, but after a few years, they rot out.
the straps will do a fine job of holding it down, but it is a livestock box with no partitions, so the nags will be having a wild time at roundabouts.
if he was a farmer doing it, then trading standards would do him because the pen size of the box is too large for some stupid safety reason & he would need a gate halfway along the box.
