Engine cut out

Hi guys a problem has started with my xe nova and just seeing if anyones knows the fault

when i go hard round left and right bends the engine will cut out for a bit then go again (like it has run out of fuel) got any ideas???

You running a carb fuel tank and not alot of fuel?

Sounds like you needs swirl pot, or GTE fuel tank.

fill the tank up and try it. mine used to do it. started doing it one night i thrashed it.. crashed it 2 days later so never sorted the problem...

all i know is the pump is out of the tank and its a pump off a merc, and it does it with a full tank

nothing to do with oil surge?

yeah the pump is fine, i dont think it will be anthing to do with oil as like i said its like it runs out of fuel and i have never know an egine to cut out due to oil unless it ceases

Have looked at all the connections they all ok

its under the car driverside beside the tank

i doubt it will be the pump, you really need to know what tanks its got in !

look at the tank,if both inlet and outlet parts are at the front of the tank next to each other, you have a carb tank

as its got an external pump, on the tank you should have the inlet on the front, and the outlet on the rear near the axle beam!

or just rip it all out and start again lol

just had a look and one is at the front and on is near the rear axel

i have been told that a boost valve should sort it would this work??
