Punch FTW. If you don't care about the old door it can help to cut around the hinges too.

I found the proper pin removal tool was pony. Drive them out with a straight section of bonnet stay. - I've only done one door mind!

i cut 6inches off my bonnet stay and welded it to an old screwdriver, its the perfect size to knock the pins out

I couldn't get a bonnet stay/punch to work, but the proper tool from Machine Mart got them off in minutes with no damage to the car or door.

use a punch that fits down the pin but with a shoulder no bigger than th ediameter of the hole in the hinge. try and get the pin moving first with the punch so it is freed off a bit. then use the propper tool. in the past ive had pins that are solid and when you use the tool it can either bend or the tool chews and makes a bevel on the pin making it impossible to get out.
