Got my Nova GSi last week,
Spec -
Standard C16SE.
Bilstein Coilovers.
Standard GSi Alloys.
Front Strut Brace, Looks Like An OMP.

Also is that a bsting hole in the roof ?
If so i have one here somewere so will dig it out when i get 5 mins if its any use to you ?

First thing i spotted too :eek:

First problem i came across was it wouldnt start despite my mate it bought it off being insistant he had it running briefly...
Fitted a new airflow meter as i never got one, there was a shady looking wire joined in the dizzy loom so i took the full engine loom out it, found 3 broken wires, one in the dizzy loom, one to the crank sensor, and an earth wire at the rear, so repaired all them, plugged it in and it burst into life :)
Found a few wee bits needed welding so my mate seen to them on saturday, small bit at front drain channel looked like it had been crushed by a jack, then a baby hole at the drivers seat runner.
Bought a load of parts to fit then it'll be ready to go for an MOT, just bought all these parts for piece of mind only needs 1 balljoint and a trackrod but i'm fussy so i got
2 Track rods
2 Bottom balljoints.
Rear shoes & cylinders.
Handbrake cables.
Brake piping & ends.
Service kit.

Nah look at the drivers rear arch, looks weird!
Otherwise not bad :) No plans for it?

It mite of been his camera as i had an old one that made wheels look odd for some reason.
What do you mean about the arch ??
Bonnet is open in first pics, and yes i have a grille it was in the back when i got the car.
Ernie - Yeah it is but i've removed the base and am going to fill it, thanks for the offer though chap.

The rear wheel arch looks a bit odd in the pics.Do you have any other pics may help.
No other pics at the moment too busy working on it to take pics lol.
I'm planning to replace the arches in the winter anyway and get it fully painted, have 2 front wings sitting for it...

looks smart in white mate
No significant updates as yet.
Replaced the rear brake cylinders.
Rear brake shoes.
Handbrake cables.
M/Cyl > Rear brake lines.
Need to bleed brakes, fit track rod ends & balljoints.
Source headlamps, and find out why the headlight bulbs arent working, tryed new bulbs & fuses are ok so thinking wiring.
Also there appears to be no wiring to my washer pump ....
Need wiper & indicator stalks as well so we'll see how the bank balance is when i get paid, just going to fit what i have at the moment, not in any rush.
Plan is to MOT it, then strip it down and tidy it up good and proper :D

Ok ive tried to show what we mean about the back arch,
it should be perfectly straight but instead it points upward, so the person who has fitted it has put it on at a dodgy angle. thats if it isnt just your camera thats made it look like this.

Failed its MOT on a few silly things and a few bits of welding...will be gettin welded tonight if it stays dry!
plans are to fix that arch, give it a respray to freshen it up in the new year, then just enjoy it!
It'll be good to see it on the road mate.
Be wierd with the both of us always kickin about the gither and both drivin white novas haha.

got the interior loom yeah but the door looms on it have been cut so still looking for those :)
:( Sad day for Me & Jonny.
It could have been saved but neither of us have time or money and have a corsa gsi coming tomorrow to be broken for spares.

Funny how i asked about this all those years ago and now it sits in my drive (Although it was a GSI, not GTE like i thought haha)
