hey, is there anything good on a 1.8 cav sri

a bloke i know has one with a bit of front end damage.

might buy the whole car lol

not sure what he wants for it, what are they worth?

lol ok i asked the guy and he said its a 1.8 but he is getting it tomor

what engine sizes do they come in??

and im unsure of the mk yet

Mk2 iirc, a 1600 SR and a 1700/1800 SRi (thats a guess) and a mk3 is a 2.0 8v, and a 2.0 16v, dont quote me but i think thats about right bud:thumb:

Might be worth buying and breaking so sell the SRi stick on bits and pieces.

I can't imagine you'd make much money out of it unless the guy was pretty much giving the car away though

1800 SRi is a Mk2 btw. Hmmmmmm.... on second thoughts, buy it and sell me the wing mirrors :p

Not a chance - may have some historical value if its a mk2, but there isnt anything on them worth selling.

They do have the F16 CR gearbox though.

My ex just broke a mk2 1.8 SRi saloon and passed most stuff onto me to sell. You'll struggle to get £250 back on one, let alone make any profit. I'd say it's probably best to give it a miss at that price dude.

I have no idea. I've never taken one apart. I don't have another control. Breaking another mk2 SRi on Monday if you want the mirrors off that.

cheers for the advice people, he said he thinks its got MOT so might make it a runner lol depending on how much he wants, how much front end damage it has and a few other things i cant rememer lol

ok, the bloke phoned up and its a vectra now LOL

R reg, v6 in white, bit of damage to wing and bonnet. for 250 quid....

what ya think, has got alloys as well. in his words " fancy 5 spoke ones"

yeh thats what i was thinking jack, but he is scrapping it tomorrow as it has to go and he can get 250 scrap for it so. and i dont have the money now
